Cash for Clothes?
Comments
-
Did anybody see the documentary last night on TV on the subject of used clothes. There were large companies buying up all the unsold clothes from charity shops for up to £500 a ton (50p per kg) and selling them for export to places like Ghana.
Since the shop that I went to was giving 60p per kg, they would be operating at a loss if they sold them to those big firms. They are not going to give away their trade secrets but they must be selling some of the clothes they get in for decent prices somewhere to make a profit. Ebay, designer "previously loved" shops etc.?0
