Cash for Clothes?

Anyone know of any central Belfast shops that buy 2nd hand clothes? I used to always throw in a few bags of clothes/shoes to the one on the lisburn road opposite Tesco's and get a few £££ but I notice it has closed.
You know the ones that offer you so much per kilo.
I can't even remember the name of the franchise - anyone use any central Belfast ones?

For the sake of a couple of quid in your pocket and probably 50 quid that a charity shop would make, where is the choice......
20p a kilo is an insult to your intelligence.... Treat these companies with the comtempt they are dishing out to you.......
Pfft, make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I've never come across any that offer as little as 20p per kilo.
£10 is better in my pocket than not.0 -
I really hate these places. I understand wanting to make a few extra quid but when all of the local charities that provide invaluable services here, are crying out for donations, I think it's better to give them the stuff to sell in the shops and make £50 plus gift aid than give it to some clothes place for a tenner.
I know it’s a tenner to you but £50 to a local hospice or cancer charity really helps a lot.0 -
Hi Chickabee
I don't know of any in Belfast, but I've found you'll make more on gumtree or eBay selling as singles
I know it takes time and effort but definitely more cash in your pocket

There's a Cash for Clothes on Templemore Avenue - not too far from City Centre.0

Does anone know if any cash for clothes in the Ballymena/antrim/ coleraine area take bedding too?0

Why not have a go at selling them on ebay ? I think that is how these "recycling shops" make their money.0

Most of these clothes are exported for recycling. Postage costs are prohibitive on ebay for NI members. Maybe try Gumtree but probably not worth the hassle?0

Postage costs are not as big an issue as they once were for NI ebayers. There are GB couriers now who will charge the same for sending items to and from NI as to and from other parts of the UK.
The recycler shops do sort out the clothes carefully and do not just act as collecting depots. I can only imagine they do this so that they can sell for the highest price they can get. If they can get £20 on ebay for a dress costing £200 new and they bought at 60p (@60p per kilo) they no doubt will do it.0
