Breakdown Cover

Hi

My car insurance expires at the end of this month. My insurance broker for the last two years has stopped including breakdown cover on the policies they sell. I had a particularly bad motor that I got rid of in February and I am now driving a 2005 Ford Fusion 2. I am paying £7.99 a month by direct debit (£96 a year) for breakdown cover that gives me UK recovery (transport to destination/home, limited overnight expenses, hire vehicle for up to 24 hours) and home recovery (within 1 mile of my home, 1 hours roadside assistance, if needed, transfer to a local garage). I can cancel this at any time. I have been wanting to get away from this policy of paying for seperate breakdown cover for a while now. Its either that or I switch to RAC or AA. Do they give a more comprehensive cover than I already have?

I stupidly renewed my policy that didnt include breakdown cover today. I seen another policy that included breakdown cover but I dont know whether to cancel (if I even can) to switch to this other insurance or stick with it and go down the route of trying for better (and cheaper) breakdown insurance instead. My head is done in!! Any advice is much appreciated. Apologies about the length of my post.
