No details showing on Equifax report

Has anyone else had problems with no details showing on their Equifax credit report? I've recently signed up as I needed to apply for a credit card and had to provide ID docs as they couldn't verify my identity when registering online.
Now I have provided the details and checked my report there are no details showing other than those I provided such as my previous addresses.
I've also applied for a credit card on the basis that I had an excellent rating on Experian, but the credit card company checked Equifax and declined me, this was before I had seen my Equifax report as I needed to apply urgently
They've ask me to provide details of all my credit agreements so they can look into it, but with the credit cards, current accounts and mortgages I really don't want to go down that route. They suggested that they may not be showing if they are new agreements, but all of them are over 4 years old so that is not the issue.
Luckily my circumstances have changed so getting a new credit card is not a necessity at this time, but going forward I don't want to have this problem again so want to get this sorted now, anyone had a similar problem and managed to get it sorted. I also want them to remove the credit searches for the declined application, anyone know if they will do it?
TIA

With Equifax this can sometimes be an address format issue.
Are you on the electoral roll? does this show on file?
Is the address you used to obtain the report, the address you use for your various credit accounts and the address the council use for E/r show as being exactly the same?
If an application for credit search was made with your authorisation then it is factually accurate and won't be removed.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks Tixy
I'm not showing as being on the electoral roll on either equifax or experian which I think is because we live in Jersey.
The address on all accounts are exactly the same as the one I quoted when signing up for equifax so they should be able to tie up the records.0
