First Petrol Lawnmower, looking at Honda Izy HRG466SK?

Moved into a new home which has a long garden and my old Bosche electric mower is a bit battered and a few cuts in the cord. Looking at the Honda Izy 4 wheeled propelled model which I have seen advertised for anything between 345 to 475 pounds. Anyone use them or any other Honda mower and are they quite light to use (Garden is flat but for some reason I always imagine petrol lawnmowers to be big bulky unweilding units)

I've always been told to get a hayter or honda. My only advice is that self propelled is well worth it as is a quick start.

Good make, make sure you give it a good run up before buying. Check colour of the oil and petrol and a quick look at the air filter would not go amiss.

Honda make good engines, but the steel parts often rust out before the mechanicals give up, so look after the deck, or buy one with an alloy deck if you are as lazy as me.

Self-propelled is fine, but unless you are a dwarf, an average sized mower will be easy enough to manage on a flat garden.

One benefit of a push mower is that you get beneficial exercise without visiting the gym....and there's less to go wrong. Also, if there are lots of nooks and crannies, such as on a graveyard I sometimes mow, a powered mower is actually something of an inconvenience. Give me a Hayterette any day for those sorts of jobs.
