Whilst doing online quotes for my DS for his bike I used the following comparison sites: Go Compare and Compare the Market.
DH tried Asda.
Both the first two asked for first and secondary occupations. Asda did not.
I needed to clarify a couple of points with the insurer as some of the information hadn't passed from the comparison site to the broker/insurer.
It transpired that Asda's quote was cheaper because they hadn't asked about a second occupation, unfortunately as I had quoted the web ref number from Go Compare, I couldn't then deny it.
I did get the premium bought down but it just seems daft that some sites ask for more info than others, and on that basis the premium could be less.

Some insurers as for 3 years of claims, some ask for 5 years. Some ask where you park your car overnight, others dont.
Insurers have different experiences, different priorities and different underwriters0 -
And I do hope you were not considering denying it? If you were asked about a second occupation and you denied having one then you've basically committed a criminal action and bought a worthless piece of paper.
If the insurer did not ask about a second occupation, on the other hand, then you have no need to disclose it. Even if you have disclosed it to other insurers.0
