Hi everyone
I am thinking of using a car broker for the first time and am slightly apprehensive. I am considering using the company Broker4Cars.
I am looking at a new Nissan and the broker will receive a fee and deposit directly to start with as the order comes from the Nissan factory and not a dealership. Following this, the remaining balance gets paid to the broker (who pays Nissan) 2 days before delivery once the car has been built.
I am wondering why they do not use a referral system like others, however, the company has good reviews and has been trading since 1999.
Can anybody who has used this firm give me any advice/reviews on them, and whether the service they provide is any good?
Many thanks

Is there a particular reason you want to use them?
There are plenty of others that exist that use the more traditional methods of taking a small deposit and then you deal directly with the dealer at the discounted price.
I'm thinking of broadspeed, drivethedeal, carfile as examples.
I've never used any of the above but i know directly of people that have used both dtd and carfile with no issues.0 -
It's mainly because the price they have quoted is the cheapest, and substantially better than those other sites you mentioned.
I have queried this with the broker (i.e. why are yours so cheap) and apparently it is because they have a deal with Nissan currently. The price is approx £10,300, and the closest I have found is £10,600 and £10,900 on other sites.0 -
I am buying a new Kia and asked a local dealer to match the price quoted by Broadspeed (saving over £2k on list) which they did.0

Hi, I have called around many Nissan dealers, none of them wanting to match the price, I thought they might do!0

The other review thread mentions being able to complete the deal via a dealer, which you can ask about.
Personally, for £300 difference I'd rather pay on collection of the car, than 2 days earlier, especially after reading the other thread. Once you've paid the money you lose a lot of negotiating power. It also gives you somewhere to take it back to if there are problems.0 -
Yeah I have asked broker4cars about collecting from a dealer, they state that it isnt possible with Nissans as they have negotiated a discount direct, and the order comes from the factory. Thanks for the advice though, I will definitely consider other brokers who are slightly higher.0

Will they let you collect from the factory?
I assume the car has to be delivered to somewhere, then PDI'd before being delivered to you. I'd feel better with an order if I knew where that was.0
