    They're relatively new; the reason that you don't see them on the Windows Update site is because they are updates for Microsoft Office, not Windows.

    So, yes, you might as well download and install them. Be sure to have your Microsoft Office installation CDs close to hand, as you may be asked to insert them.

    depending on the size of the updates - if you're on dial-up it could take a while - you can get a CD from Microsoft with Office SP3 on it - well I assume you can; they sent me an Office SP2 and SP3 has been around for long enough by now
