    Morning all,
Bed stripped and re made, washing done and hanging to dry. Vacumed and polished upstairs.
Wife of DF phoned and asked if I would look up the prices for them to get the ferry from Weymouth to Jersey in August, I looked through 10 sites and found the best price so phoned her back. She said " I'm busy atm could you phone back this afternoon" Jeez !!

More gardening later after I've done banking and a few orders online. Cooking lamb shanks & veg in the SC for DH's dinner. I love the SC as I can bung it in and forget about it.

Hope you all have a good day. :)

    Afternoon all,

Bright day again today. Rushed back from work this morning as I was walking with my friend who had her youngest grandson with her. He is adorable and such a calm, happy little boy. He is only ten months and already doing a few steps. So when we came back we had a lovely time playing :)

DS2 has gone out on his moped for the first time this afternoon. I am trying not to think too much...

How lovely for those of you off to the IOW. We took the kids for a couple of years running about 14 years ago. We took the caravan and stayed at a place called Carpenters Farm near Bembridge as I recall. I loved St Marys Duver (?) and Yaverland beach, oh and musn't forget the ruined house, can't quite remember the name. So many lovely places there. Must go back some time.

Mince and probably pasta for dinner tonight. Will try to motivate myself to go to Yoga too.

    Afternoon all.

Do you remember sometimes I post in threads my list of chores for the day? Well I really want to post a list of moans today because I feel really 'blessed' (not).

I had my Grandson for a couple of hours this morning whilst his Mummy was out trying on wedding dresses. I'm tired now.

We are having a visitor in the shape of a young lady 'Youngest' has met online. She's staying a few days. I could do without it right at this minute and if hadn't been for the fact that she has bought her train ticket before my son told me she was staying I'd have told him to tell her she couldn't stop this week. We had a big argument over it on Friday. It had been simmering for a few days.

Hubby is being argumentative. He's bored and when he is bored he starts going on and on about stuff.... usual stuff, England, the Government, emigrating ... blah blah blah, ive heard it a million times before!

Right, I'd better move. It will be tea time before I know it.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a good evening all.

    Afternoon all

Been MIA for a few days as life and blackdog just got in the way.

DH :A decided to take me out for lunch yesterday followed by a trip to the watermill which was really lovely and I feel a bit more myself today, but I am still having weepy moments :(

I have finally got my appointment through for maxiofacial at the hospital on Saturday 19th, which means that they must be really busy.

Dinner tonight is freezer roulette, I really can't be arsked to cook.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Sorry...still boiling hot in Berlin. I walked all the way to the David Bowie exhibition and back, did over 13,000 steps (according to my pedometer) which was 'great'. Decided that a short'ish train journey would have been worse so I just took my time and ambled along. Walk took me past some of the more famous tourist sites which made it more enjoyable.

Exhibition was great too. It came from V&A originally but now includes extra material from his days in Berlin.

Thoroughly worn out now. Ate only a couple of sandwiches and then a very tasty ice cream halfway up the road. Packing for the early start tomorrow as there are three trains to catch and I fear that Eurostar won't be back to normal by the time we reach Brussels. Don't want to be stranded overnight in Brussels. Hopefully the trains will run and we have reserved seats so all should should should be fine.

Once home it's back to 'old clothes and porridge'. Belts need to be tightened in more ways than one.

JackieO - hope the antihistamines worked for you. I am itch free but blotchy. It's worse than being at home.

    Happy rest of Monday everyone.

It's well worth going to. Steeped in history at every turn and corner and so exciting too. I never tire of coming here. Hope you make it!
