This goes back a while now but last summer we had a problem with our Pay as you go meter for our gas and had to have it changed and stayed on Pay as you go.
But due to someone not inputting our meter details right they though we was on a credit meter so in Jan of this year we got a letter saying we owe them £1200 and they sent out meter card a message and the debt went onto our meter.
so when this happened i called them and after a hour on the phone it was sorted and they send a new message to the card and the debt was taken of the meter.
but then in March the same thing happened and again called them and again a new message sent and they gave us £20 credit to put on our meter for the stress it had caused us and was told the right meter details would be put in by them and that i would not have any more problems.
well yesterday i went to top up and put card into meter and it took almost all the top up i put on and now there is a £2200 debt on my meter:eek:
so yet again the same problem has come back but this is the 3rd time now and i am sick of them now.
also to make matters worse i found out last week that they have added the £1200 debt to my credit file which i have asked them to remove.
what can i do because this is causing me great stress and upset and im fed up with spending 1 hour on the phone to them and telling them the whole story over and over again.
Should i go to OFGEM?
what can i do because this is there fault and they have said that as well.

Dont call put your complaints in writing .0

AS JJ says, it never hurts to put it in writing, but they should have registered your previous complaint. They have 8 weeks to solve it to your satisfaction, and then you are able to take it to the Energy Ombudsman (you need to follow the supplier's complaint procedure). From the sounds of things, this time has already started running - ask for your compaint number.
Whether you write, call, email etc it helps to put down what you want the result to be (e.g. clear the mistake form your credit record, repay any costs, maybe even change the meter to a credit one so it can't happen again). If you are asking for compensation, know how much you want, and ideally be prepared to justify that amount.
Give timescales of when you want action taken, and how you want to be informed of it.0 -
