I think if you bought a cardboard mount so it doesn't look so close to the framing edge it should be OK

phew thats what i am planing to do then frame all of that... do you think 1cm is wide enough to fix the adia onto the mount? i have always frayed the edges of my work before and glass clip framed them... i have never mounted anything in my life

I think a silver mount will look good with that black, if you use something like double sided tape which is quite tough it should be ok but it will be a bit fiddly. The good thing about using a cardboard mount is that it standardises the frame sizes so you can buy one from any shop. Don't forget Wilkos are pretty good with mounts price wise, if you can't find a silver one spray or paint another one.

All this is less work than starting again, I know how time consuming cross stitch is! Fantastic present though.

thanks ray you have been a star and saved me prob 40hours work :T i was thinking light blue/dull silver (ie not the really shiney) a little more grey but light grey? Then i was maybe placing it all in a beech/birch frame, something light. I dont think there will be enough room at the bottom to inital it though as then it wont be square (if that makes sense) i will stick my usually poem on the frame though so that should surfice :D

ohhh yes much more better... yes i love cross stch, all mine end up as presents though although i have got an rspca pets that i cant part with :rotfl:I think so... she loves fairys and she loves my work and what better age to give her this gift... btw this is my first work on black adia and its tough but i will get there...

    thanks again :grinheart

    Bonsoir!

Sorry PAP I know b*gger all about cross stitching (I can just about sew a button on) but it sounds like you are getting it sorted so that's good. :)

    My spends today:

    £1.50 on bus fare......

    And that's it! :j

Got a feeling my weekly budget will be going to the wall though PAP as we've decided to do some decorating tomorrow.....didn't plan for that! We'll see...you never know, B&Q or Homebase might have some bargains!
