Are credit report enquiries recorded?

Hi guys,

Can a credit report tell you if the six year expiry of a debt has come into play and the debt has been wiped clean? And if you check your credit report is it recorded? Can your debtors see if you've checked?

Cheers

Debts are removed 6 years from the closed date or 6 years from the default date. No lenders aren't told if you check your file.
  • Thanks Hazzinho. As there is no record of when the last contact was, rather than guessing (approx 6 years) I was wondering if a credit report could shed some light.

I think they may be under certain circumstances (like those of the OP), if my understanding of the workings of GAIN (gone away information network) is correct.
