HELP ME PLEASE

have done a search, but can't find what i'm looking for. what i want to know is the following.

1) how do you put a picture in a post, tried the image thing, but it doesn't seem to work so am obviously doing it wrong, and

2) if you change your username do you lose your posts already accrued?

RE: the image thing when you want to attach a picture. right click on the picture in question, go to properties then copy the address (URL). then click on image 4th box along on the bottom row. paste the address in between the boxes and hey presto should work.

also no i dont think you do lose your posts if you change your user name. but you can only change your user name that people will see on your profile (when people pm you) they will still see your old one.

The user name thing - no you don't lose your posts (see embarrassing user names in the MSA)

The picture thing - what picture are you trying to put in? You can't put in your own photo unless you have your own webspace (but certain regulars will host one for you) apart from that you:
1. right click on the picture you want
2. left click on properties
3. highlight and copy the url that comes up in the box
4. go to where you type your message
5. click on the picture thing above the smileys that says 'insert image' when you hover your mouse over it
6. click between the bits I've highlighted in red [img][/img] then right click and paste.

yogurt maker, i was trying to post it somewhere else as a joke but couldn't but now its here and soon ot may well be there, now i've written down hjow to do it and put in my little book of how to do these technical things!!!!

no spendless, but i tried for ages to pput a picture in for you, and couldn't/ can you tell me how you do that here thing with a hyperlink, i can do them but only with the address in. like http://forum.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=Technical;action=post;num=1095936832;title=Post+reply;start= which takes up a lot of room.
