Ikea mattress for day bed

We are thinking of getting an ikea day bed in our spare room (we don't have room to have a double out permanently) http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50080315/
I have a question about mattresses. We would need 2 singles so they can be stacked when not folded out. Ikea recommends the ones at the bottom of the page on the link above but I'm not sure of their quality. Has anyone bought other mattresses for their ikea beds?

Nearish yes, think we are going to go there this weekend.
The ones recommended are the foam ones, will see if we can get a normal one insteadRecently married and loving it x0 -

We bought this bed for our dd and although it looked good in the shop the white veneer chips very easily.
We did get the two mattresses if you try to use one on top of the other they slide all over the place. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
My mattress is Ikea, but it is kingsize and we did the lay on it and test, plus checked on their 'which one for you' display in store, its really comfy. Cost £400, but that was better than £700 in Dreams, similar one.

Ours is going to be for occasional use so hoping that it won't get chips but interesting point on the mattresses, really want it to be suitable as a single too and have nowhere to store the other mattressRecently married and loving it x0 -
We have a £1000 mattress in our bedroom and a £200 ikea mattress in our guest room. I prefer the ikea one any day. Ours in a spring one, my DS also has a spring one with a memory foam topper on, both from ikea.0
