Best bank or building society to put my money

I have £8,500 to invest. At the moment it is with Santander who are giving me 1%.

Can you please recommend a bank where I can get a better interest rate?

Hope you can help.

Thanks

TSB pay 5% on £4k, Nationwide 5% on £2.5k then find another like Tesco for 3% for remainder.

    Thanks. That's much better.

Or you could get 3% with Santander on their 123 account, not quite as good as the others mentioned but worth noting.

For these accounts, TSB request you pay £500 a month and Tesco request £750. If you put the max amount needed to earn interest into these accounts, will you still need to meet these monthly requirements?

    Yes.

But that's easy, just move £750 between them each month.
