Hello,
Basically a friend allowed his friend to use his bank account instead the so called friend commuted some form of bank fraud on the account now my friend receives a letter from the bank stating he has broken terms and conditions but says please find other banking methods or something.
So my friend trys at two other banks the account is opened but is shut down within 24 hours apparently a call from somewhere is received telling the bank to close the accpint
Now I just want to ask what can he do to open a bank account somewhere his credit report came back clean but I need him to get his account as he is borrowing my bank account at the moment just to deposit wages. Apparently he cannot open an account for 6 Years? But I read somewhere about applying at building societies or getting a prepaid card would he be eligible for these ?

Many Thanks.

Does your friends file have a CIFAS marker.
He will probably on a fraud database like national hunter etc.

Try very basic accounts, but i'm not sure you will get anywhere.

So your friend let his friend use his bank account, only the friend of your friend then used it for fraudulent purposes, and so your friend lost his account and can't get another?

Why not let the friend of yours use your bank account?
I'm sure your friend won't treat you like your friend of a friend treated him. ;)

(Just don't let him then go lending it to any friends of friends)

He already is, read the post again:

"he is borrowing my bank account at the moment"

Next thing, "My bank account has been suspended due to suspected fraud".

You / your friend could try your luck with a credit union. Some of them offer specialist accounts for people who can't get an account with any bank. http://www.creditunions.co.uk/

He'll probably struggle to get an account for a while, and rightfully so.

You may be next, if your own bank realise what you are doing.

    Again, rightfully so.
