Has anyone any advice as to insurance for my son.
He passed his test over two years ago and due to starting a new job with no parking but a good bus service he has not driven since.
Being nearly 25 and now the need to buy a car we are not sure of the best insurance company ?

There is no best insurance company.
Age/Experience/Car/Postcode all play a big part in the premium.
1st car with zero no claims it wont be cheap.
Do ALL the comparison sites, Do ALL the local brokers, Do ALL the companies not on the comparison sites etc..
Only then will you know what its going to cost.
No parking? and a good bus service? Take the bus? Or is he buying a bus?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Thanks , no not a bus he has been told he will need a car to go out on site and they will allow him to park now they have created a better parking area .
Obviously they are paying expenses but not a company carLight travels faster than sound.

he may need to look at business cover as well from the insurance
although this article is aimed at younger people, your son will probably fall into the same criteria (although being 25 should help a little) http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/car-insurance/young-drivers0 -
Yep as above going to sites and not one place of work will require business cover. Will he be carrying passengers, Other employees and clients or goods?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Yes you are right , I have been on a comparison site and will be speaking to my insurer .
I have been amazed at some of the quotes and have had to check and re check at times so that my options all match.Light travels faster than sound.
