Getting a refund via the credit card

I bought concert tickets for early next week. They have not arrived yet, Ticketmaster said I didn't pay for recorded delivery so tough luck (even though I wasn't offered it...), and due to the postal strike there is no time to post me duplicates.

Duplicates could be picked up at the venue but I am not travelling down to London just in case it goes pear shaped.

So, to my main point. Ticketmaster are refusing to refund me. I have called and spoken to numerous people but I am getting nowhere. So, will the Credit Card people refund me? Am I covered for such circumstances? The item was bought and paid for but has not materialised. It was supposedly sent to me but nobody knows where it is. And if it does turn up it will be too late.

Any held appreciated.

as long as the total cost was more than £50 you should be able to get the money back from your credit card company via the credit card guarantee

I'm not sure with this one. The same thing happened to my mum, but she had to pick the tickets up from the arena on the night. The credit card company may not cover you as ticketmaster have made earrangements for you pick up your tickets from the venue. I think it would be best to call up your cc and speak to their disputes department, just to be on the safe side.

Hmmmmm, not sure what to do, whether to call the CC company or whether to wait and see if they turn up tomorrow. If I call the CC company too early then they may speak to Ticketmaster who may cancel them, and then if they do get here on Saturday or Monday morning I am stuffed.
But, could Ticketmaster cancel the tickets if I call them again on the day of the concert and tell them they have not arrived? Any concert I have been to is a matter of just flashing a ticket at some event person and then getting in. They don't actually check any systems to see if they are valid. I am  at the thought of someone else using them.

They wont cancel the tickets, they will just make sure that there are some duplicates waiting for you on the day at the arena. If you find someone in your seats then it won't be hard to figure out who the tickets actually belong to. They dont normally send seated tickets by recorded delivery-only standing ones.
