OMG so have I! Since Easter I have had to chase up a fair few prizes and I hate doing it! I almost feel guilty because I am not paying for the prize. I don't think I had to chase up any prizes last year but this year has been a nightmare! I won an Easter activity book for my daughter which has yet to appear, even after chasing and being promised it would be sent out - but now I have given up on it as I think my daughter is over Easter bunnies and chicks by now! Even a Hotel Chocolat Easter egg prize never appeared, and after weeks of chasing, I was eventually sent a small box of chocolates in June - with a note saying 'sorry the egg you won is out of stock so we sent you these in stead!' It is just disappointing when prizes don't arrive, especially when wins are becoming more rare or when you have entered daily by rafflecopter to win them!:(

I rarely touch rafflecopter or any competition not run by a recognised company, maybe that makes a difference to prize delivery.

Me too Luckyone - it used to stress me too but now I just enter the types of comps I enjoy entering and I don't let it take over my life. :)

Same here, its gone from stressful to relaxing and fun.
(i changed mainly due to 'advents 2012' - it pee'd me off i literally gave up xmas, family, enjoying daily life to enter 500 comps a day! all i won was £250 (happy about that) but for how id been as a person that december changed my entire outlook on life, and ive never looked back since, i work now aswell, and even want to get another job aswell)

    Enjoy comping - Enjoy life
    Hate comping - Hate life
    Your choice.
Still comping, after 2 heart attacks 4th feb & 6th feb, and a stent put in.. 45 years old only:eek:

It's a conundrum, I win many of my prizes from Rafflecopters but these are where most delivery problems seem to occur, my stomach turns over when I have to chase something these days.

Particularly after a real fruit loop of a PR who replied with a great long angry rant about his various life issues all of which were apparently my fault for checking if he had received my delivery details.

He then told the blogger a pack of lies to cover his behaviour and she started 'bad mouthing' me on twitter. ( No I didn't respond I opted to ignore and move on)

I do have an ever growing list of smaller sites which I do not bother with due to problems in the past when I've had to chase.

And once or twice I have stopped comping completely for a while until I've sorted out and received (or totally given up on) things I've already won because it was all stressing me out too much.

So yes I know the feeling :(

I agree with you, gholmes724 - it is often my rafflecopter prizes I have to chase up too! I feel bad because I hate chasing bloggers, who then have to chase the PR companies, who then have to get back to the blogger, who then have to get back to me. So the poor busy blogger, who took the time to review the prize and then organise the giveaway gets caught in the middle!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

I won some Hotel Chocolat from rafflecopter at Christmas, and the prize arrived a few days after notification.
But normally I don't do rafflecopters, or I check to see how many other entries there are on the widget first ;)

I think you are so right vanpopple since I have started doing twitter and facebook it is taking up so much time and I'm not getting my regular competitions done, also starting to feel stressed and not enjoying comping as much, of course each to there own and its what works for you ....but for me I think I will go back to how I used to comp before IE no more Facebook or twitter x

I started comping in the early 90's when you had to track down entry forms and often buy the product and send in receipt. I had a few wins including 2 bikes. My sister did a lot better but it was great fun loading the kids up for a road trip to kwik save to hunt down the entry forms.
I loved the slogan writing and find there are not as many high effort comps as there were.

I got back into comping last year after a suprise 'Win A Chef' win with Tesco. Advents were terrible were as 2012 when i only entered about 10 comps I did quite well.

I have the time to comp but wish sometimes it wasn't quite so pc based. Sister still comps but mainly twitter and mum likes to enter the odd one still.

No one in my family has won a holiday so I am setting my sights there.

It should not be stressful and I have had 3 low value prizes not arrive which I didn't chase up as had forgotten all about them.
