Radisson Hotel, Liverpool

Hi,

I'm new to this site so hope that I am posting in the right place:)
My friend and I stayed in Radisson hotel, Liverpool for 3 nights in April 2013. Our main reason for choosing Radisson was the excellent spa facilities we enjoyed in other Radisson hotels. After checking in we discovered the spa was closed for renovations, despite being advertised on their website as being open. After complaining to the manager, she arranged for a therapist to come in especially for us to have some treatments before we left the hotel. To our great disappointment, the therapist didn't show up! The manager said she would arrange for us to have some spa treatments in another Radisson hotel in Ireland by way of compensation. She gave us her card and asked us to contact her with the name of the Radisson hotel of our choice. For personal reasons, I was unable to get back to her until 27/8/13 by e mail. I got no response and when I phoned the hotel I was told that this manager no longer worked at that hotel. I got the name of the new manager and sent him an e mail, but got no reply. I have sent many e mails, letters and made several phone calls. I am always told the manager will call me back, but never does. I followed it up on principle, not for the value of the spa treatments. So much time has passed now, I feel I should just give up. Anyone any advice on this please?

I would give up now. It has been that long since you stayed there and the managers have changed. Unless you have written proof off the old manager stating what she would offer you, then it is your word alone with no proof.

The Radisson Blue is a nice hotel in Liverpool actually, its a pity they did not offer you a treatment in one of the 100's of beauty businesses around in Liverpool. A pamper sessions at Herbert's for example, at least a discount on a meal or free drinks.

OP - contact Radisson directly, they're usually excellent.

I stayed at a Radisson and thought it was very very good, but I recently saw something very similar to you at 'The Derbyshire Hotel' located near the M1 junction 28. It advertises itself as a luxury hotel and has photos of their spa facilities. We turned up last Saturday to find the spa closed for renovation. Luckily, we were never intending on using the spa however they've made no mention of the fact it's closed on their website or any of the agents that you can book via (e.g. Booking.com).
