Hi, apologies if this has been posted before, but here goes...I recently bought a new bike for £550, paid a 10% (£50) deposit with my Visa credit card, and the rest on a 24 month finance agreement, with monthly payments of £22. Check your home insurance, any decent policy will automatically cover bikes up to a certain value without having to declare them explicitly.

Outside that then its simply a case of any ancillary insurances you may have. A few cards do still given short term cover on purchases but these are not statutory rights and so down to individual T&Cs
