The missus has just come off the phone with RBS and they've given her 8 accounts with PPI dating back to the early 90s! We think this is down to a black sheep member of the family using her details to obtain these loans.
RBS are going to send us a form to fill out so we'll see what happens. We're of the mindset of not expecting much as we don't know how much these loans were for, the fact that they're probably defaulted on and the chance that they may have been claimed already by said family member.0 -

And that is another reason why a CMC should not be used. If there were defaults and RBS agree a mis-sold PPI, then RBS can offset the redress payment against the amount defaulted. However, the CMC would bill on the amount of the redress paid even if you never got to see a penny in your hands.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). :rotfl:As I said, I don't think I have been missold any PPI; I'm too tight to pay for additional insurances etc. That's why I thought what have I got to lose?
I was thinking they would do all the legwork of checking my credit reports etc? Actually work for their commission?
 I'd be more worried about the fraud aspect of this, not trying to get back some cash that I never actually paid. It's a new twist though. The missus has just come off the phone with RBS and they've given her 8 accounts with PPI dating back to the early 90s!
