Bath Shower Tap removal

Is there a special tool to remove the shower fitting on this tap? Having no luck at all with various pliers due to the confined space:

Would a cart puller work (it would at least give you some more leverage)?Guess it would need to be reverse threaded.



Is the entire bit you want to remove circular?

Normally your remove the entire tap if the bath& tap were fitted together.

Thanks for the suggestion

For the moment it's just the standard 1/2" shower hose fitting that I want to replace.

Not sure where I would get a cart puller - google doesn't help...?

Google for 1/2 ips extractor, should do the job I think

the lever that sends the water up the hose may unscrew to give you better access.

It does seem to unscrew - nice tip. Hopefully it screws back up again easily too!
