Hi Guys,

Recently i bought an Audi A3, TDIe on a 59 plate from a private seller. Ive been looking into buying a one year car warranty to cover me if anything major going wrong in the first year.

The two sites i've been looking into mostly are Warranty Direct and Click 4 Warranty.

Ive read a number of reviews online both positive & negative for both companies and was wondering if anyone had any recent experience with them.

Thanks, Will

I've no experience of either warranty you mention but from what I can gather used car warranties aren't worth it - you're nearly better sticking the money you'd spend on getting one aside (approx £200-£300 per annum?) and use this towards annual servicing or funds towards any repairs the car may require.

Audi's A3's should be fairly reliable motors though, but, like any motor it depends on how well they have been looked after by previous owners...

Can you think of anything that wont be worn on a 4 year old car?

Wear and tear is usually excluded.

  • pr0blem with warranty direct is that they list parts covered rather than not covered --this makes it difficult to see where you stand--there is a provider called A. L. A which only lists parts not covered and has competitive premiums--has anybody any experience with them?
