    It's much more fun becoming an expert on investing your own money than borrowing it. :)

    Diversification is key. Nothing wrong with anything that anyone has mentioned to you if you do it for only a portion of the money. Five or even ten different things would be fine.

    Any suggestions for 5-10 different things, based on your experience.

    I was thinking of doing the same. Not sure what you mean by substantial, but I was thinking of trying £30k with Ratesetter. I think Ratesetter is safer option as they hold a fund you can claim against.
