Not really, If VED disks are now from October not going to be displayed, then what business is it for the DVLA to display the status of your benefit online why not display Disabled instead.
to display the name of the benefit, rather than just day disabled/exempt would be breach of DPA.


how would you feel if BT displayed your benefit name with a number search? because you receive a disability discount for the heard of hearing?

Its not for the DVLA to publish this info.

They're not displaying the name of the benefit as far as i read it.
They're displaying disabled online as the tax class. So people can then work out from that alone the person that the vehicle is used for has mobility issues and will be on the higher disability allowance.

It is for the DVLA to publish it though. If want to find out about buying a vehicle you surely want to find out how much it's tax etc costs. If a vehicle is registered with a disabled Tax band you need to have it changed back after buying it so it's good to give potential buyers or anyone who wants to check the tax status of a vehicle a heads up what it's tax class / code is

Sounds like a lot of people with too much time on their hands looking for something to be worried about. However, it will be handy letting people looking at second hand cars know how easy it is to find out if it is taxed and when its MOT is due.

But the DVLA aint publishing what benefits people are on.
