Moving Direct Debits without closing old account

Is there any convenient way to move all of my direct debits to a new account without closing the old one, which the "new improved" switching service apparently does?
My existing current account is with Intelligent Finance and is linked to my mortgage, so that I don't pay interest on the part of my mortgage equivalent to my current account balance. I'm in a position now where my balance is greater than my outstanding mortgage, so I'd like to leave the same amount as the mortgage in the old account to pay off the mortgage over time, and shift everything else over to a Santander 123.
I know I could just pay off the mortgage in a lump sum, which would cost a £50 fee, but I like the security of having a cheap loan available (I can get my overpayments back) should I need money in an emergency. Because IF is being wound down, they're not able to provide a second account.
Is there anything I can do other than making lots of phone calls to manually shift over 20 DDs?

No.
Many DDs can be easily changed online though.0 -
We have just moved DDs ourselves. We wanted to keep our HSBC account open while I have free travel insurance and want the interest from the Santander 123.
The only problem was with our council tax as the Dd was cancelled three times. No one is admitting to it.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
