Shed not like the one we ordered

Hello and thank you for any advice that may be given.
I purchased a shed from a reputable company the shed was an 18mm loglap type also the most expensive as they are stronger than shiplap or overlap.
A month later the shed arrived and was erected in the garden, when it was finished i went to look at it and the first thing i noticed was the loglap curved type wood is flat like the shiplap not the look we wanted. I measured the thickness of the wood and its 14/15mm not the 18mm as shown in there catalogue or the display model. I phoned the company and asked if they had sent the wrong shed as the look of it is totally different and the material is not 18mm.
Their reply was this is a loglap shed they have changed from arched log style to flat style hence why the material is thinner.
I asked them why they did not phone me and let me know they were changing the spec to this they replied check your contract small writing. Here is what it says SPECIFICATION.these are correct at the time of publication, but are subject to alteration or withdrawal at any time without notice. As our policy is to seek constantly to improve quality, design and service. We reserve the right to amend alter or change materials used at our discretion when such changes may be deemed desirable or necessary.
Here is my view the shed looks nothing like the one on display the material is thinner it does not resemble logs any more and to me not the same quality. I said if i had known this i would of ordered the shiplap shed that looks the same as this one now and saved myself £200.00.
What are my rights can i ask them to take it away and refund me or is it something i have to live with even though it looks nothing like the one in there showroom.
Thank you for reading and taking time

Reject it. The change to a thinner wood is neither desirable or necessary.
Tell them to refund you, take the shed away, and then go and buy one from someone more reputable.0 -
As above. Their T&Cs are in addition to your statutory consumer rights which specify that an item must be as described. This clearly isn't, and by all accounts, substantially so. Reject it outright for a full refund.0

As above reject it, for a refund
If they are reputable as you say then they wont put up a fight0 -
The one possible flaw in the case for rejecting the shed is if you employed your own builders to construct the shed. As actually building the shed could bee seen as accepting the change of spec. Though if the firm also supplied the builders as well as the shed then I agree reject.0

Although it could be argued that it's entirely reasonable not to be in the position to be able to see the extent of the difference in description until the shed had been erected.0

Thank you for all your replies.
The shed was erected by their own employees.
In fairness to them the shed they have supplied is a good looking shed its just not what we saw on their forecourt the spec has changed.
I wonder if they would give some money back as i could of got the £200 pound cheaper shiplap if we had known.
It would cost them to send men back to dismantle and take it away.
I shall phone them on Monday and see what they say.
Thanks again for all your replies0 -
Hello all just an update.
I quoted to the shed company about their t&cs been an addition to my consumer rights and also the shed had changed specification from the one we purchased now meaning the new shed was not as described originally. So i asked for a refund in full. Their reply was they would talk it over with the Director and get back in touch. They did phone back and gave me the option of a full refund or an upgrade to a full heavy duty Barrel Board shed. I agreed to the replacement shed as the sheds they do make are very good quality. So roll on the 19th of July so the wrong shed can be removed and the new one erected.
Again thank you to all replied you really helped.0 -

So long as they stick to their promise, they sound like a decent company to do business with , maybe you should name them0 -
So the 19th arrives i set off to work looking forward to the delivery of the barrel board shed to replace the incorrect one.
Several hours later wife rings me at work to tell me they have failed to bring the barrel board shed and have brought the same shed as they had already fitted. The chaps that came agreed with my wife and i that the supposed loglap sheds they now supply do look like tongue and grove shiplap and they were sorry that this replacement was rejected because it is not barrel board as promised.
I have phoned their office this morning and i am now awaiting their response, what a farce this is turning out to be.
I will name the company hopefully eventually with a positive result depending on what happens now.

They have just phoned and apologised profusely the order for the replacement had been duplicated from the original and they are grateful for my patience. They have promised to make and deliver the barrel board shed this Saturday. Fingers crossed everything goes right.
