TSB Classic joint account

Hi
I currently have two TSB Classic Plus accounts, has anyone been through the process of opening a joint account. It says to apply through internet banking (existing customers) and then we'll need to go into branch.
Is this correct?
Looking for a hassle free way of opening two more, or considering going for another current account that I can open myself online. I'd rather go for the net 4% though.

You can open a joint account by phone as long as both parties are there.0
