Painting chimney

I have been painting the exterior of the house. I think I can reach everything except the back of the chimney stack. It seems ridiculous to pay for scaffolding just for this.
The roof is very steeply pitched and very high. Roof ladders are nowhere near long enough. Would a roofer be interested in painting it or do they just specialise in roof repairs?

Look, I'm sorry, but, you have painted 3 of the 4 sides of the stack?, and want to paint the far side?
You have done well, but with that resourcefulness, if the far side escapes you, it probably does us tooI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

The stack is at the end of the roof and sticks out, so three sides are accessible by ladder and roller on a pole. I am defeated by the fourth side. The roof is too steep for me, even though the height does not bother me. Do such things as extending roof ladders exist for hire? It would need to be very long.Je suis sabot...0

Would it not be easier to hire a cherry picker (or someone who has access to one such as a tree maintenance firm) as you should really have proper fall arrest equipment etc..0

Nowhere near long enough. I'll post a picture tomorrow to show how tricky it is.Je suis sabot...0 -
To be honest I think any roofer would do it "when he was passing" so to speak, it would be by far your safest option;);)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Getting to a chimney's back side can be a pain in the ärse.
I bought a set of extending cat ladders that I use in conjunction with a scaffold tower (to get me up to eaves height) specifically for the purpose.
It's a good idea to use some kind of fall arrest gear when you are doing it.0
