Slightly confused...

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone can help...

I've just applied for a MBNA emirate card as i'm planning on going traveling at the beginning of next year and flying with Emirates :T

I got to the end and they advised that they can't give a definite answer now but they will contact me in 7-10 days, I understand that this can be "normal" However they say that they are going to check with credit ref agancies.

This is where my confusion comes in I get my noddle report each month however the amount on my Lloyd CC is wrong it says that its around £400 but as of 3 weeks ago it was cleared. I know they take time to update but when they can if I explain to them that its gone will this make a difference.

Also for the limit, my Halifax CC card which I got Jan 13 had a limit of 1300 which I cleared with a BT this Jan to my Lloyds CC but lloyds only gave me a £500 limit. I would ideally like £1200 to pay for the flight, I can clear this in around 2 months but would like the Skyreward points for possible upgrades (with my luck possibly not :rotfl:)

Thanks

xx

You don't appear to have actually asked a question? You just have to wait for them to make a decision, I doubt £400 of debt will alter a lending decision.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.
