Thanks to Martins Page I rang Lloyds Bank to register my complaint regarding PPI.
I told the bank that I was made redundant in 2004 and was misold. I gave them as much information as I could.
I visited the branch in 2004 to inform them and showed them my letter to prove this and was immediately being told the wonders of PPI, the girl was very pushy, and was told I would be covered if the same situation arose in the future. I signed on at the Job Centre but never gained employment so I retired in 2008.
After giving Lloyds information I was told I had taken out PPI in 2002, I told them I didn't know, if I had known I would have made a claim in 2004. When giving them information to the bank, they was only interested in information regarding 2002 the time of taking out the PPI.
A couple of weeks later I received redress, a cheque for £71.48 which included interest.
I also rang Barclays Bank as I have been a customer since the 80s, and was told I have never had PPI.
So Many thanks to Martin.
