i am closing my bank account which has my moms direct debits coming out of it i have told her to move her direct debits over to another bank account if i close account and direct debits are not moved to another account will this affect my credit score?

If you're closing your account just contact your bank and cancel the direct debits first of all.

but if i cancel direct debits with bank and dont contact the companies they will still try and take money so will that affect my credit score

If you cancel the DDs with the bank then the bank will not allow any money to be paid out. And so you won't end up in an unauthorised overdraft on the closed account.


If the companies with the DDs are all accounts in mother's name then you won't be affected by non payment, she will be.

No, because you don't have a credit score.
