question about council tax and tennants

Hi all
I am planning on renting out my house. My question is do i notify the council that i do not live there,becuase i have moved back in with my parents and giove them the details of the tennants. Will they take my word for it or will they need to see documents and proof etc

Here the council don't generally ask to see a tenancy agreement, but occasionally they do.
You should notify the council when you move out, and you should notify them when a tenancy commences. You will remain liable for council tax when the property is vacant, and your council may give a discount or an exemption during empty periods.0
