Atos??

I am on ESA Support group, reveiw next April.
Today I had a letter from Atos wanting me to attend a medical ?
I thought Atos was no longer involved with ESA or did I get that wrong?

It says Dear Mr xxx
We have been asked by DWP to carry out an assesment in relation to your benefit claim. The the date /time etc.

Unless there is more recent news ATOS' contract doesn't end until early next year.

I see , thankyou for that, I thought it was a mistake as last time I had too fill out a long form before i went.

ive had something along the same lines regardingh not being assessed when youre due ...
my ESA ( support group) was up for reassessment in July, and as i hadnt received an ESA40, i phoned DWP.
they said that they'd decided to reassess me in january, but without an ESA60 and i was in the support group for another 2 years.
still havent had letters telling me that 1. i was moved to the support group late last year without asking and 2 that my claim has been renewed.
you gotta love them, else you'd want to shoot them and thats illegal

What I also find odd is they have not sent me the assessment(?) form asking about my condition etc?
I had one around December, sent it back & nothing came back just carried on as normal. Then in March had a letter saying my ESA Wragg was coming to an end ,365 day & then I asked for a reconsideration as nothing had changed & they put me into the Suport groupd 2 yrs but back dated to start of the Wrag ??

Wonder why there was no form filling this time ?

I think the form you completed in December related to the appointment you have just been given. The letter saying that your WRAG was coming to and end was just that, it had nothing to do with your reassessment.

It still seems odd, if they had just not put me onto the support group in April,when I had reached 365 days in the Wrag, there would be no need for the Atos appointment?
So I am quite puzzled?

Well what a pallarva that was!

Got to Atos & she said bit of a wait OK fine , after 3 hrs waiting they sent me home to wait for another appointment in about 10 days time.
Surely they can work out when their staff are on holiday or staff shortages etc? The lady at the desk was frazzled but still very nice, apologetic & professional towards everyone.

The quicker these incompetent, insensitive cowboys are gotten rid of the better for everyone concerned. If these cowboys can't even get ESA assessments right how does anyone with a braincell expect them to get PIP assessments right!

I had a letter today asking me to explain why I did not attend an Atos face to face interview last week??
As you have read above I was sent home on the 28/7/14 & told a new appointment would be sent to me along with a giro/cheque for the expense's of the 28/7/14, nothing!
Just this letter today asking why I did not turn up & saying benefits will stop etc ...

Its almost 3 weeks since they asked me why I did not attend atos etc & not a peep ? They are still paying the ESA money, I tried phoning but getting through is too costly as i was hanging on for a bout 15 mins & had to hang up as I owe enough money as it is.
