Oddly, much of the market today seems to pay more for ISAs (or at least the same).

The banks seem to actually pay more in current accounts, which is just mad!I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

I think most would be grateful just not to see house prices soaring again, especially in London!Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0 -
They don't need cash deposits because they are awash with QE and 'funding for lending' taxpayer funded bailouts. The competition between banks now is not for savings, but for current accounts, because they see profit in selling related services, fees and charges etc etc which they can't apply to savings accounts.gadgetmind wrote: »The banks seem to actually pay more in current accounts, which is just mad!“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0 -

I've always told my bank manager that I'll use them for banking (what with that being their speciality) but other organisations for other specialities such as insurance, investments, etc.
He seems fine with that.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
