I just checked by Experian report, and it seems that by CCJ isn't on my report, it has around one and a half months left before it's 6 years old, is it possible for it to be removed before the six year mark?
Thanks
Thanks

If it's not there, then yes it's been removed. I doubt it's unheard of.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

This is interesting... I still have 5 months left to run on mine, I wish they would do this with me haha.
Have you applied for any credit in the last few months and been accepted whilst you have still had the CCJ?
I only ask as I was wondering whether lenders may take the age of the CCJ into consideration.

Mine is due to drop off the other two on 27th August 2014, after six looooooooooooooooong years.
Yes, as the CCJ got older. In the past three years I've been able to get, an O2 Pay Monthly Mobile, two Orange Pay Monthly Mobiles, a Virgin Mobile Pay Monthly, a Capital One Progress @ £1500 limit (27.9% APR), an Aqua Advance @ £750 Limit (49.9% APR) and an Granite Card @£250 limit (59.9% APR) double
I'm going to close the Granite and Aqua as I don't use them and have no balance, however four years ago I got the Capital One Secured Card paying £200 deposit to them for a £200 limit, however it is now at £400, with a 34.9% APR, which helped rebuild my credit file.
Oh and I've obtained a £700 overdraft with Nationwide, however I have been banking with them for just over 6 years.0 -

Some lenders don't want you to have any CCJ's at all, which means waiting until they drop off your report. Other lenders will ignore them after 4 years etc. It all depends on the specific lenders criteria.Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. Yeah, Mainstream cards prefer no CCJ's at all so you'd have to wait until it drops off your report0 -
Must be worth waiting then to get the best rate possible. I've learnt from my mistakes and will definitley be managaing my finances alot better as I have done for the last few years... once this CCJ is off my report in November I can start again.0

Nothing stopping you from getting a credit building credit card to give you a head start, you'll need to build up your credit when the CCJ drops off to get the good mainstream cards/rates0

Hi MrSilk,
I have a vanquis credit card with a £3000 limit which I owe £50 on just for fuel and I pay it off in full every month. The redit limit was £300 4 years ago and I have never missed a payment since I have had it.
I have a mobile contract whih I have had for over 10 years and no payments missed.
And have an active urrent account but with no overdraft facility as they wouldnt give me one... presumably because of the CCjthis account i opened up in September 2012.
I have a settled current account and credit card which were settled in 2009 credit card and 2011 acount.
The only other active credit I have is my british gas bill whih again i never miss payents on.
I really hope that when the CCJ goes I will be able to apply for mainstream credit and be accepted.
Im on the electoral roll too

Ah!, based on that I don't think you'd have any problems obtaining a mainstream card once the CCJ drops off:T :T :T
