The boomers knew this themselves, which is why they bought these places, made them homes and spent decades renovating and personalising them.. Something which the young now may never know.

I was reading in the socialist worker that apparently there is not one person under the age of 48 that owns a house: they said it was definitely true as they got the info from Toastie personally.
