Scottish Power 8 week wait for refund
I have moved to Flow Energy as I can save over £400 per year. SP rang me and said they could match FE but I refused to stay with them . My online account says I have to wait eight weeks for a refund and they advise not cancelling the DD as they will be unable to refund my bank account and will have to send a cheque. I think eight weeks is outrageous. I thought as members of the billing code they had to adhere to their rules and refund within twenty eight days?

That is appalling. When I switched from edf to extraenergy I was £80+ in credit. I cancelled my DD and was refunded (like others) within a week. Is there a SP rep on here that could comment on why the massive differences?0

It took me 10 weeks, five snotty e-mails and an official complaint before I got my £120 back off SP late last yaerNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

I got my refund from SP within the 28 days.
I did cancel my DD to prevent them taking any more money 'accidentally'
I still got my refund into the bank account.
I think they must keep your bank details by the look of it.
