Silverline Tools - Awesome response

A few months back I had a problem with a Silverline Angle Grinder.

I was quickly refunded for the grinder by the seller but I tried to leave a low rating for the product on the Silverline website but my review was not posted.

Silverline recently contacted me to apologise for missing my review and have assured me that it was probably a one off bad product and their tools are well tested before they buy them in.

They have offered to send me another grinder free of charge along with a selection of tools of my choice and have also have also invited me ( expenses paid) to their Headquarters to meet the buying / quality control teams to show me the work they put in when they test the products and for me to give them an end users input etc.

Customer service at it's best , goes above and beyond any other companies customer services experiences I've had before.

Well done Silverline and Thank you.

Had problems with Silverline tools after buying their router and work top jig. No insert/guide provided for the jig even though both supplied by Toolstation, told to buy the 30mm insert/guide elsewhere. How can Toolstation, when part of the same group, not provide the correct work top guide. Also find that Silverline power tool sanding belts have a very short life span with the belts breaking after 2 to 3 minutes at best.

Their website has been updated since I posted the review and it looks as if they no longer host the reviews.

Silverline are an independent company now owned by the former founders of Screwfix.

Toolstation are part of Travis Perkins and are not connected to Silverline.

The trouble with Silverline is that their products are all made by sub-contractors rather than directly by Silverline themselves.

The trouble with just about anything you buy nowadays is that it is made by third world companies at the cheapest possible price leading to exploitation of millions.
