Hi all again,
I have managed to get £80 off the money i was looking for which should be enough to get me through this situation. Thank you to all the people who are giving sound advise. I would also like to say that there are some others on here who for some strange reason like to place even more pressure of someone when they are in a hole and sick with worry. Yes i have made mistakes and have continued to for a couple of years but this is the reason why i came onto this site. Im no expert when it comes to doing the correct things with money but for someone to have a sly dig who had started off with £23k worth of debt is a bit rich, disgraceful infact! Well done on the changes you have made but you are out of order with your little dig!0 -

No further posts since just after 4pm so I'm guessing that you've either pawned/sold whatever device you've been using or done something daft...
Hopefully it's not the latter.
All I can say is that if the £100 is needed for a legal reason such as a payday loan then not paying it may actually be a good thing if it gets you to face up to speaking to them and getting out of the predicament you're in.
My advice would be to contact a debt charity ASAP to seek help for your financial problems and seek advice from any similar, relevant charities for anything else...
Good luck Dee!

Thanks MB
Very much appreciate your help and advice.0 -
Do you work? if so ask for advance
I only say this because I don't believe everyone is helped and gets to demand a DMP..
You know why payday lenders have to do credit checks c'mon0 -

Yes i do work but i would feel rather uncomfortable asking for an advance to be honest as we have such a small staff. Yeah i do understand why they credit check but i thought i would ask (hoping against hope).0 -
The attitude you are sensing is because you are asking for help but are not explaining why, so it is impossible to help you properly.
For example, if somebody needed £100 to repay a drug dealer, I would not be prepared to help them.
Other people seem to think you have asked for advice before, then ignored it.
Not agreeing or disagreeing, just explaining what you can see on this thread.0 -
Posting links to this behaviour (over a period of years) is pretty damning.wildincrawley wrote: »Other people seem to think you have asked for advice before, then ignored it.0 -

Who else would be better qualified to advise you?
You did a SOA 3 years ago, what went wrong? You must have a habit, hobby or need which is using money you dont have. Face it and sort it, this is no way to live. Others on this site are just trying to help you. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Hi Dee,
Glad to hear you've got yourself sorted but why not think of now as the time to start getting your sh*t in order
Others who have posted mostly are trying to help, sometimes a bit of tough love is needed because it does look like you're going around in circles I'm afraid
If you contact Step Change (or similar debt charity) now then you can get the ball rolling and at the end of the month could find yourself in the position of getting your pay and only paying an amount to cover your debts which is not going to leave you struggling for the rest of the month after your rent and other priority bills are paid?
If it helps, when I'm working and not off with a back injury (counting the days...) my take home is about £1.5k
I pay £500 in rent, £300 in pension payments and other commitments like phone, travel, etc and budget £200 for food on which I live quite comfortably
This means that I normally pay off £500 pcm to my creditors - the vast majority of whom (and this includes payday lenders) have frozen all interest and charges in recognition of my position and attempts to address my financial problems.
I'm currently off work and my pay has dipped but I'm still living reasonably comfortably and repaying £200 pcm - the reduction was not a problem, I'm getting no hassle from my creditors and I'm able to see my debts reduce each month
I very very rarely find myself panicking over money... This could be you if you do something about it now!
Now I'm guessing you might either have some sort of addiction problem (gambling, drug, etc)? It's nothing to be ashamed of and you need not be ashamed to ask for help.
Just do the right thing and get the ball rolling now while yo have a bit of breathing space
why not post on the debt free wannabe forum? Loads of help and no judgement (normally).
If I've struck a note and you want to sound something out in private feel free to PM me and I'll help if I can.

Well, you seem to find yourself in the same situation again and again. You need to have a look at your lifestyle and make changes. Curing just the symptoms, metaphorically speaking, won't work in the long run.0

Two years ago, three years ago .......
Nothing ever changes for you.
For goodness sake break the cycle and sort yourself out.
Take the advice above and then go and flip some burgers as a way of earning a few pounds to get your stuff back and build a reserve.
Then live within your means!0
