Business Credit Cards

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone here can help me. I recently set up my business accounts with Lloyds and they have supplied me with a debit card for the business. My problem is i want a credit card for my business with a limit of £2,000 per month. This way i can control costs and everything like hotels, flights, travel tickets are all insured. Lloyds will offer me a card but i want to know if there is anything out there besides that is better value for a business. There will also be a lot of overseas travel too

Thank you for your replies in advance

Regards

M

    What do you mean?

ETA: for overseas travel I think you can do much better with a personal card, not business.

There is no S75 cover for business transactions.

In all honesty for the UK there are few business credit card options, if you had an account/registered business in Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore or the UAE for example you could get a business rewards credit card but in the UK the best you can get for rewards appears to be the Business AMEX and Barclaycard Business Cashback or Platinum.

I also believe that there is no protection when it comes to business credit cards either so really unless you want rewards of some kind, it doesn't matter what credit card you get in the UK.

Capital One Aspire Business card gives 5% cashback for the first 3 months and then 1.25% there after. No annual fee too.

Interesting that you cant get s75 protection for business cards though. Anyone know why that is just out of interest?

Because s75 is a section of the Consumer Credit Act?

i have wound up using a debit card for business transactions: keeping accounts simpler, and not paying a fee for a credit card from HSBC.

perhaps is is actually best to use a personal credit card and claim the expenses from your company each month?
