Tesco Savings - Clubcard Points Question

I put the £1000 into the tesco savings a while ago in order to get the 1000 clubcard points.

Does anyone know when you can take the money out? Does it need to remain in there until the points are credited to your clubcard?

Hi uppal,

"The technically perfect way to manage this situation is simply electronically move the money into Tesco just three days before 30 June, though I'd actually do it a week before to be safe; as the idea is to have cleared funds there on that specific day. Then withdraw the cash back to a top savings account just a few days later. Yet even if you dunk it in now and leave it there for a few months, you're only losing a few pounds in interest, so it's not a big deal.

When will the points arrive?

The points will be awarded within 28 days of the end of the promotion, which should mean they will be in your August Tesco points statement and can be used after that."

I.e. As long as the money was in the account on the 30th June, you should be able to take your money out now and still be awarded the points. I am not sure if there is still a way of checking the actual Tesco terms and conditions though, just to be sure.

I've left my money in the account for the sake of the slight loss of interest on £1k, just to play it safe

from memory points are being awarded in august, ive already withdrawn 1000.00 and left 1.00 in tesco savings

I seem to have had the 1,000 points added for the savings account, but haven't seen the 500 for the car insurance quote, or the 200 for the health insurance quote.

How is everybody else doing?

Hi VeryTrying, I called Tesco CC about this, and they said that the points had to be added by the insurance companies. The way this happens is that when the insurance company tells Tesco CC about the points, then Tesco CC add it.

i tried emailing to check it out but after about 8 emails i gave up but i was in tescos yesterday and the 1000 points are showing on my balance.

Noticed today that 1000 points have been credited to my Clubcard account - assume it's from opening the Savings Account. I removed the £1000 few days after depositing it.

How do you remove the money into a bank account or ISA?
