Calendar printing for small business/charity

Hi...firstly sorry if i am not posting this in the right place...

I don't actually have my own business yet, but am hoping to make the first steps in setting up a photography business shortly

I have been asked to produce a calendar for a small business with all proceeds going to charity. I have looked at lots of websites who print promotional items...but wondered if anyone here had already done something similar and could recommend (or otherwise) a reasonable printing firm/online site?

Obviously I want costs to be kept as low as possible, but still want a good quality product

Very grateful to anyone who can offer advice

Thank you

    Hi ..
    Lots of important questions ..
    Quantity ? size ..ie A5 ,A4, A3?
I would assume 4 colour .. Gloss or matt paper .. spiral bound , perforated and glued or just padded ?
Can you give more information as to the clients requirements for the finished product please?

    Hi thanks for replying

Looking at a quantity of about 50 - in a hole punched or spiral style in A4 size

Although I'm happy to consider anything in order to make it affordable

The group that have asked for it have never produced anything like this before, so would be happy whatever I can produce to give them a presence

Hope this helps and thank you again

50 is a small order, so expect to pay quite a lot for them. The profit on a run of 50 will be pretty negligible, so maybe think of them as corporate gifts as opposed to a charity moneyspinner.

50 is a very small quantity.. you could not even add it to an A1 4 colour run. with one of the big printers (this is how they reduce costs)
We produce a 40 page , A5 booklet 4 colour on a duplex printer , bi monthly .. run of approx. 350 copies folded and stitched for our village magazine..and are covering the cost by advertisements
You could produce it and pad it this way , so pages can be ripped off.. all that is required is padding glue , card back and bricks (believe it or not).
We have completed work for other people and the cost goes straight back into the village mag.
I must admit you really will not make much profit from a project this small
