So we wanted to book a caravan at Clayton Bay, the website first showed several available at the lower price range but they were impossible to book, could not advance to next page, not recognising the address etc. Tried several times using iPad and Macbook.
After two hours gave up and tried to send a complaint via the contact page, this was refused due to "unsafe content" so I sent just two words and it went! So they have worked out that several words means a complaint and refuse it!!!
Tried next day to book, none of the caravans we were interested in available, only the dearer gold ones, so booked elsewhere.
BUT a day later I cleared the browsing and cookies and all the caravans we were interested in are suddenly available!!!!
Sharp practice or what! Surely there should be a law against this, I wonder how many families have been pushed to the dearer caravans???

I thought Macs and iPads were immune from anything untowards happening on the Internet!

Perhaps it is the screen keypad interface that is the problem?

BoPsie clears her cookies when booking things on Expedia etc, as the price always seems to vary depending on activity. Google ads are the worst, try looking for a hotel in Scarborough say, and then a few minutes later, do a search somewhere else, or go to say YouTube. Adverts for Scarborough suddenly appear!

If you were stuck trying to book for 2 hours, why didn't you just stop at the first sign of frustration, pick the phone up and book it there and then.....

Tried to phone but first we waited for ages so gave up then office was closed.
The point of the vent is to complain about the way these sites manipulate you into getting a more expensive thing than you wanted so the kids are not disappointed.
Interestingly they still haven't replied to my email even though they say they will get back within 24hrs.
