Morning all,
managed to do some dead heading and a spot of weeding this morning before it gets too hot. DH and I have an appointment at Solicitors today with DD1 and DD2, we are signing some property over to them to save on tax when we pop our clogs !
They will be here for lunch so I've made a huge asparagus quiche to go with salad. DD1 is veggie so plumped for an easy dish.
Picking up DGD2 from school and will take her to her swimming lesson.
CANDLELIGHHT hope all goes well at the hosp.
MRSLURCHERWALKER, Glad He Who Knows is feeling better.
MOLLY, ((hugs))
Hope you all have a good day.0 -
Morning all
DH is home today so he is going to be carrying on with the decorating in the bedroom and I'll be pottering round the house, I have to collect DS from school at 2 ready for his ENT appointment at 2:20, that has pleased him because he gets to leave school 1hr & 15 mins before everyone else
I've just finished making 4 jars of chilli jam now just the quiche to make then that will do cooking wise today, WM is to go on and hoovering downstairs, then mop the kitchen floor then I'll be out in this glorious weather weeding our boarders and popping in some bedding plants... Oooh and replace the 3 tomato plants my DS broke last night whilst playing football!
Hope you all have a lovely day xG.C July £21.09/£1000 -
Morning all,
just popping my face round the door as I'm in a dreadful mood. Youngest daughter is still in my bad books but I haven't said anything. 'Youngest' son is in my bad books too and I'm giving him the silent treatment because if I start ranting I wont know when to stop.
Oh and I wont mention men.
Stuff the housework I'm off out.
Candlelight, hope all goes well at the hospital.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all,
...and breathe Judi, hope your day out calmed you down a bit. Bet you were walking around cursing under your breath! If you are anything like me you walk around like Muttley from the Wacky Races, moaning away to yourself.
Well what a beautiful day it is with a lovely breeze to stop it feeling too hot. Popped to my dads this morning to take lots of photos of DD's wedding dress for her. She is looking for a headress/tiara but can't quite remember the detailing on her bodice.
DH has gone to the dentist at last. He had half his tooth and filling fall out a couple of months ago and now the metal spike (must have been root treated previously) is catching on his tongue.
DS2 is currently out on his driving lesson and I have decided to put him on my insurance. Mind you I do tend to over think things and woke in the night worrying if I was making the right choice.
Kievs for them for dinner. Eughh! I'm not sure about me yet.

JUDI, I hope you have enjoyed your "me" time. Sometimes you just have to get away from it all, and let them get on with it.
Thank you for the good wishes, scan went OK, and I think for a woman of 69 I must have some thinning of the bones at least. I knew I had lost height, I thought 2", but when she measured me it was one and a half, so I am five foot 6 and a half inches, and in my youth I was always five foot eight.
Plodding on with the produce from the allotment and made 3 jars of raspberry jelly jam.
See you all tomorrow

Afternoon all, hugs and good wishes to everybody.
OH and I spent half the morning shopping....would like to think that I have almost enough for month, but I am a good hand at fooling myself!
Glad to hear that HWK is feeling well again.
We had lunch/dinner out, will try just to have veg, fruit and yoghurt for the rest of the day. Given a chance OH would eat out everyday....I prefer home cooking with an occasional meal out as a treat.
Would like to get the rest of the gooseberries picked today, need to be off my feet for a while first as hip is really giving me a hard time today...I cant just stay in bed all the time !!!!!! even if its the only place pain goes away. Sorry for whine but feeling sorry for myself, will be fine tomorrow!
Enjoy your day everybody, stay safe

Yes that's exactly what I did, for a few hours. I was just deciding where to go when my daughter rang. She had got a couple of wedding dresses she wanted me to have a look at. Whilst we were there I had a bit of a talk with her and cleared the air. 'Youngest' was out when I got back. I'm still not ready to talk to him yet.Thank you for the good wishes, scan went OK, and I think for a woman of 69 I must have some thinning of the bones at least. One more thing... has anyone successfully frozen spinach? I don't buy it very often but when I do I usually chuck away what I don't use in one meal so I'm going to try freezing the excess. Any hints or tips would be appreciated.
