Two different nurserys - two days each

I have a bit of a dilemma that I'd like some opinions on. DS2 is off to school in Sept, and I'm undecided about what to do about DS3. I've been umming and aahing about moving him from the nursery they're currently at, into the one in the grounds of the school DS2 will be starting. A couple of months ago I decided against it because, well, its more expensive and he's happy where he is.
But now the time is getting closer I've started to worry about the logistics thing (seems that life as a parent is all about logistics). I can't get DS2 to school, DS3 to nursery and me to work all before 9.
So I thought I'd decided to go for the school grounds nursery - but they can only fit DS3 in two days a week. He could stay at his existing nursery for the other two days - but I'm just not sure whether the messing around would be hard for him to cope with.
My pros and cons are:
1) He's happy where he is, but he'll have to move up into a different room this summer anyway - so he's got to go through a change regardless.
2) Transition will be hard, but it will make his move to big school next year easier. And DS2 is going to have the same transition issues at the same time.
3) Its messing DS3 around, but it means that on those two days I don't have to send DS2 to breakfast club as well as after school club (long day!).
Sorry to be long winded, but I'd like to hear if anyone's littl'uns go to two different places, and how they manage. (I can never remember what day it is - how could I remember where to be!!!)
Thanks, in advance.

Only you know your children: some cope OK with being in two different settings during the week, others don't. But I used to help with an out of school club, and very few Reception children can cope with those long days every day to begin with.
Have you looked into other options like childminders for before and after school? Asked about changing hours if that would help?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Thanks Sue....yes, I'm very worried about DS2 having breakfast club, school and then after school club on top. I've heard people say that their kids who had been used to full time nursery are really exhausted by school.
Dropping hours isn't an option for me unfortunately. And we had a bad experience with a childminder so I'm really not keen to go down that road again.

Although the nursery on the school site can only take your son 2 days for now, surely they are likely to be able to extend this to 5 days as soon as they get a place? Changing nurseries gradually might be a good thing for your son

DD went to two nurseries and coped fine.
She went to the school nursery from age 4, one day a week for a term and then two days a week until she started school. This was mainly to get her used to the school and the friends she would be starting with as I was very happy with her other nursery and didn't want to move her completely (she started there when she was 2 years old).
I was worried how she'd cope but it really wasn't an issue at all.

My son goes to two different preschools. This is because I don't know what school he will go to as the admissions procedure locally is a bit of a mess, and I want him to have friends for either school he goes to, so he goes two sessions to one preschool and another two to the other.
We name them preschool and nursery school so he has a distinction between the two, and he just takes it in his stride.
He does occasionally play up when I drop him off, but I think that is more to do with him seeing other children play up and get extra kisses and cuddles before they go than the disruption to the week.
Each morning he just says to me, 'Where are we going today mummy' and I put it down on a calendar for him to see. This also helps him understand the different days of the week.0
