cheap pregnancy tests on eaby, worth it?

Hi all.

Hope someone can recommend the pregnancy tests on ebay, they seem very reasonable.

i am experiencing bloating at the moment, and i have pcos, and my period is late but that is usual for some months!

just been perscribed metformin for the PCOS and hoping it will regulate my cycles so if im not pregnant now, i will soon be !

thanks in advance x

  • Never bought on myself, but on the parenting boards I go on, a lot of people seem to rate them, they are very sensitive and pick up low levels of HCG. A bit basic of course, but that's why they are so cheap.

I've bought them, never needed them yet though.

Pretty sure they are similiar to the one that Docs use and that we used to use in Hospital.

    I'd go for it.
Give me the boy until he's seven and i'll give you the man.

I've used them and they're accurate.
Cheap & do what they say on the tin.
Don't know if it depends who you buy them off though.
Good luck, hope you get the result you want!!

They are exactly the same as the ones we use in the hospital. You don't need a fancy shaped one- you're going to pee on it all the same :D
I used bought them from eBay when I thought I was pregnant and it was true to it's word- I've now got a screaming toddler!

    I bought 3 for £1.37 including postage.

I only needed to use one.

By the time I used it, I was well over 2 weeks late.
  • basically if you are a pee on a stick addict (easy to become) then it can be a very expensive hobby!
UNLESS you get them from ebay and then only use a "proper" test when you really think you might be up the spout :D

according to a lot of the girls on a pregnancy forum im on
if you take apart some of the supermarket own brand tests (cost £3 -£6) then all you will find inside the plastic casing is exactly the same test that you can purchase 10 of for about a quid on ebay!
i used them and they showed a VERY faint line for a few days... so i upgraded to a first response and that also gave me the same faint line (waste of time) so for a definate answer (so we could stop hoping and start celebrating!)
i upgraded again to a clear blue digital and.......

They sell the same ones in the pound shop

I heard that, but sadly not in any pound shop near me!
    i used these people http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/fertilityplan
they were cheap, reliable and very quick with postage
and even better some of their auctions are listed as private so nothing about fertility plan will show up in your feedback (just incase you dont want the world to know what your up too! lol)

we know what your doing la la la la laaaa :D

You need to check how many miu (no idea what that stands for) and the lower the number the more accurate they are. The ones I have are from Babymad on Ebay and 10 miu.

I am a total pee-on-a-stick addict and bought 20 and I've only 2 left (been trying 6 months) so I'm really attempting to wait till I'm actually late this time or it will get expensive

I got 10 of the blue ones seen in Curious George's pic for 99p plus a few pence postage from eBay. I used all ten within 2 days (wasn't expecting to be pregnant, just got them to be on the safe side - when I kept getting 2 lines I was muttering to myself about cheap crappy tests and doing another until they were all gone, then I shelled out on a Clearblue and couldn't deny it any longer!) and they were perfectly accurate, as my enormous 38+1 bump will testify! :D
