Lanzarote car hire, the firm to go to when things go wrong

28 Posts
Can't speak too highly of Carbrera Medina, the firm we hired a car from in Lanzarote last week. While we were walking around the volcanoes near Mancha Blanca some lowlife broke into the car by putting a rock through the driver's window. Nothing for them to take, but from looking on other websites I now find i'm not the first person this has happened to. The point is, that when I took the car back, all I had to do was help the saleswoman fill out an insurance claims form and hand over the keys. Luckily the car was due to be returned to them the following morning so I didn't bother with a replacement for just one evening. When I first paid I was given a price that included all insurances that worked out to approx. 25 euros per day. When I read of some of the horror stories that other people have suffered by having to pay out hundreds more euros, I know I picked a top firm. After all, it's when things go wrong that you find out how good a firm is. BTW, their fuel policy is that you only replace what you use. They also have offices on all the major Canary Islands, definitely the firm to go to for me.

Surely the Overseas Car Hire or Praise Forums are the place for this?
Unfortunately it's not as easy as it should be to navigate round the forum pages. If you can tell me how I can get this moved, I'd like to hear from ya.
And how do I do that? What does PM stand for?
