hi, im looking for some advice
since opening a parachute account and moving my pay into it, i have discovered that i missed a direct debit payment from my old account, this has resulted in over £200 in charges not all of which are included in the schedual the bank sent me and are increasing as this process continues.
will i need to claim these charges in a seperate process once the original claim is settled or negotiate the payment in this settlement.

You have a couple of options here:
1) Provided you havent already started a court claim you can add on these charges to the amount currently claimed and send a letter 'revising' your claim with the amended figures.
2) If you have started court claim you can amend the claim but it will cost you £35 to do so and isnt refundable.
3) If you have started court claim and dont wish to amend it at a cost you can settle this claim and then go on to reclaim these charges as a seperate process afterwards. Just make sure to not to sign anything agreeing to future charges as this will encompass these.

Thanks For The Above But Its Now Go More Complicated
I Started Work After A Short Period Of Unemployment 2 1/2 Months Ago And As I Needed To Get My Pay Into A Bank Account I Contacted Nationwide To Find Out If I Could Have The Charges Which Made Up 100% Of My Overdraft Removed.
They Said That They Wouldnt Be Prepaired To Do This As They Believed The Charges To Be Fair (they Even Sent Me A Patronising Photocopy Of A Leaflet Explaining How I Could Manage My Money Better!)
They Then Suggested I Could Pay The O/d Back Throug Ha Seperate Agreement At £10 Month, The Telephone Monkey Seemed To Suggest That This Would Be Classed As An Overdraft (in Fact He Never Mentioned The Word Loan Or I Would Have Been More Suspicious)
I Have Now Got A Default Notice, Which Isnt Too Scary As They Are Mainly Talking About Taking Away My Cheque Book/cards/overdraft Ect Which I Dont Use.
However I Am Worried That My Credit Score Will Be Affected And That As It Seems To Be Classed As A Loan I Wont Be Able To Reclaim The Charges.
Any Help Really Appriciated.0
